SALES TIPS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS
Encourage mother-daughter look alike dressing with t-shirts and sweatshirts. Your sales will increase. Have an ordering table or center used exclusively for recital shirts. Wear the shirt yourself as you go to businesses to hang posters, you will be a walking advertisement.
The Tap Academy
Indiana
I require my students to wear the t-shirts in the finale-guaranteeing that the minimum profit is based on my student enrollment (so I know in advance what I will profit.) The kids love getting out of their costumes and everyone on stage looks alike, the little ones love looking like the big kids-the parents love it as well!
Center for the Performing Arts

I make each dancer try on a t-shirt to identify the correct size. On the order form that they return, I put in bold font "NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES." Then I order just what I need.
Pizzazz Dance Center
New Jersey
Wear the clothing you wish to sell while teaching class. Students and parents then seem to be more interested in buying the clothing as opposed to just hanging the clothing up on a hanger.
Star Performance Dance Academy
Pennsylvania
I use the t-shirts for our finale and opening numbers. I don't make them mandatory but strongly suggest to purchase one. Adding cast names on the back really makes everyone want one.
